LOOP IONS
COMMUNITY GROUP

About Us

The Loop Community Chapter of IONS (Institute of Noetic Sciences) is a community group for Chicago area residents and visitors who are interested in learning more about consciousness and discoveries in science related to consciousness and the human experience. The Loop IONS chapter was formed in 2014. Membership is $20/year.

Our programs are typically held monthly on a Friday evening, depending upon the travel schedules of our speakers. We generally meet in the Swedenborg Library, 17th floor of 77 W. Washington St. (at Clark St.) in Chicago's Loop, directly across from City Hall and Daley Plaza.

See the "Programs and Classes" link at left for information on upcoming programs.

About the Institute of Noetic Sciences (IONS):
Astronaut Edgar Mitchell said when he returned from the Apollo 14 mission, having experienced the wonder of "earthrise," that he got together "with a few friends" to talk about what has since become the organization known as IONS. He has said many times that is how all good ideas begin–gathering with a few friends. Hence the IONS Community Groups.

The mission of IONS is to support individual and collective transformation through consciousness research, educational outreach, and engaging a global learning community in the realization of our human potential.

Membership at the national level of IONS is $40/yr. To join the national organization, visit IONS Membership
